Step 1: Open the Summary report
Go to Time > Reports and click Summary. Choose the date range in the top-right.
Step 2: Choose how to group
Below the chart, find Group by. It has two dropdowns: the first sets the main grouping, and the second splits each group further. For example, choose Project and then Description to see each project’s total, broken down by the work done.
Step 3: Read the table
Each row shows a group, its Client, and its total Duration, with the second-level breakdown listed under each group.
Step 4: Narrow it down
Combine grouping with the filters at the top. For example, filter by one Client and group by Project to see that client’s hours per project.
Good to Know
- Grouping changes how totals are shown, not which entries are included. Filters and the date range decide that.
- The export follows the current filters and date range.
