Short Answer
In Clock in / Clock out mode, employees only record when they start and finish work. There’s no project, task, or client to choose, so those hours appear in reports without them.
What You Can Still See
- Total hours per employee, per day, and for the whole period.
- Filters by Name, Team, and Location work as normal.
- For clock-in times, breaks, and net time against schedules, use Time > Attendance review.
If You Need Hours per Project
Switch your company to Task tracker mode in Settings & integrations > Settings > Time tracker configuration > General. From then on, employees log time against projects and tasks. Earlier clock-in entries stay in your reports, still without a project.
