What the Time Tracker Permission Allows
- Track time on tasks and log time entries.
- View, start, stop, and manage their own time records across assigned tasks.
- Open Timesheets, where they can edit, submit, approve or reject, and undo timesheets.
How to Turn It On
- Go to Settings & integrations > Security > Permissions.
- Click Add permission group, or open the permission group you want to change.
- Scroll to the time tracker permissions.
- Choose Allow or Deny for each one.
- Click Save.
Set Time tracker to Allow. Then assign the permission group to the right people from their profile in People > Employees.
Who Can Approve?
The Time tracker permission gives access to the approval actions, but who can approve each timesheet still follows your company’s Approval workflow: the employee’s first approver, their second approver, or either one. People only approve the timesheets they’re the approver for.
If It’s Set to Deny
People in that permission group can’t track time or open Timesheets. Use this for anyone who shouldn’t record working hours in Day Off.
