Check If Editing Is Allowed
Your admin decides this for the whole company. With Can edit time, you can correct your own clock-in and clock-out times. With Can’t edit time, recorded times are locked and only your approver or admin can change them.
Step 1: Find the day
Go to Time > Tracker and find the day in the list. Use the date field to go back to an earlier week if needed.
Step 2: Edit the time
Change the clock-in or clock-out time to when you actually started or finished. The day’s total updates once you save.
If the New Time Overlaps Another Entry
If the new time overlaps other time on that day, Day Off warns you about the conflict before saving. Adjust the times so they don’t clash.
When You Can’t Change It
- The day is submitted: submitted time is locked for you. Ask your approver to correct it.
- Your company uses Can’t edit time: ask your admin or approver to fix it for you.
- You forgot to clock in at all: see how to add missing time.
