Step 1: Check which days were rejected

Go to Time > Tracker, or open Time > Timesheets and click your name. Rejected days show the Rejected status instead of Pending.

Step 2: Read the reason

Your approver adds a reason when they reject a timesheet, so you know what to fix. Common reasons are a wrong start or end time, a missing day or break, or time logged on the wrong project.

Step 3: Ask your approver to correct it

Submitted time is locked for you, so you can’t edit it yourself. Contact your approver and agree on the fix. Depending on your company’s settings, they can:

  • Correct the entry directly, so you don’t need to do anything else.
  • Undo the rejection, which sends the timesheet back to Pending so they can review it again.

How to Avoid Rejections

  • Check each day before you click Submit timesheet.
  • Clock out and end your breaks on time, so the day’s total is right.
  • Add any missing time before submitting. See how to add missing time.
  • In Task tracker mode, pick the right project and task for each entry.
