Step 1: Open the Time visibility setting
Go to Settings & integrations > Settings > Time tracker configuration > General and scroll to Time visibility. This setting controls which employees appear on the Timesheets page.
Step 2: Choose an option
- Employee & subordinates: each person sees their own time and the people who report to them. A good fit for managers who only review their direct reports.
- Team members: each person sees the people in their team.
- Locations: each person sees the people in their location. Useful for companies with several offices.
- All company: everyone sees everyone’s timesheets.
Step 3: Save
Click Save. The change applies straight away for everyone in the company.
Seeing vs. Approving
Time visibility only decides who appears on the Timesheets page. It doesn’t decide who can approve. Approval is controlled separately by the Approval workflow setting: the employee’s first approver, second approver, or either one.
So a person can see a colleague’s timesheet without being able to approve it.
