What Do the Timesheet Statuses Mean?

  • Draft: you’ve tracked the time but haven’t submitted it.
  • Pending: you’ve submitted it and it’s waiting for your approver. Pending days are highlighted in yellow.
  • Approved: your approver accepted it.
  • Rejected: your approver sent it back with a reason you can read.

Who Approves My Timesheet?

The approvers set on your profile. Your admin decides whether it goes to your first approver, your second approver, or either one. If you’re not sure who they are, ask your admin.

Why Can’t I Log More Time Today?

You’ve already submitted today. A submitted day is locked, so Start timer and Cancel clock out are disabled with the message “You’ve submitted today’s timesheet, so you can’t log more time today.” Clock out before you submit to avoid this.

Why Is My Total Less Than My Clock-In to Clock-Out Time?

Breaks are taken off your worked time. For example, 9:00 to 17:00 with a 30-minute break gives 7h 30m. On your timesheet, the Breaks row shows the break as a negative figure, such as “-0h 30m”.

My Timesheet Was Rejected. What Now?

Read the reason your approver gave. Submitted time is locked for you, so ask your approver to correct the entry or undo the decision.

Can I Withdraw a Submitted Timesheet?

No. Only your approver can change it after you submit. Ask them to reject it or correct the time.

Do I Need to Submit If My Company Doesn’t Require Approval?

No. When approval is turned off, there’s no submission step. Your time is simply recorded, and you, your admins, and your approvers can still view it.

Can I See My Colleagues’ Timesheets?

It depends on your company’s Time visibility setting. You may see yourself and the people who report to you, your team, your location, or the whole company.

What Happens If I Don’t Submit?

Your time stays as Draft and isn’t sent for approval. Day Off reminds you with a yellow “not submitted yet” banner. Click Review now to submit those days.

Can I Use Timesheets on the Mobile App?

No. Timesheets, like the rest of time tracking, are only available on the web. Timesheets are part of the Day Off Pro + Time tracker plan.
